Community Service
The community service committee sponsors community
service activities on campus as well as off campus by donating our time and
helping those in need. Past community service activities include arts & crafts
projects with children, recycling contests, campus clean-up, as well as other
activities that have had a positive effect on and off campus. By becoming a part
of the community service committee you will be able to change our community one
step at a time.
Publicity
Are you tired of seeing the same flyers advertising another comedy show?
Then this is the committee for you. Publicity plays an integral part in
promoting various RSA programs. This committee explores the creative ways of
publicity on and off paper. By joining the publicity committee, you have the
opportunity to help make RSA programs very successful.
Entertainment
Are you tired of UNC Charlotte being referred to as a commuter campus? Now
here is the chance for you to do something about it. This is the committee for
you by giving you the opportunity to help plan as well as implement programs to
bring to campus. Past programs include comedy shows, roommate survival games,
karaoke, cookouts, and other exciting programs that residents can benefit from.

What makes a good chairman?
- starts meetings on time and ends them in a
sufficient manner
- needs to make sure that your team knows each other
- makes sure your entire team participates in decision making and discussion
- make sure that the discussion stays on the topic
- summarizes decisions from time to time
- should been seen as sincere and thoughtful by the committee
- summarizes the meetings and actions to be taken by committee members.

- as a chairman you should always come prepared with a
set agenda
- come with ideas yourself
- allow time for discussion about matters at hand or new ideas
- set deadlines and keep them
- delegate responsibilities
- be ready to present to at Exec and IRAC at the end of your committee meetings
