Resident Students Association better known
as RSA is a representative body within the University to identify and make known
the needs of resident students. We are a student run organization for students
and by students.
RSA is an organization that every resident
is a member of, but it is your choice to what kind of member you want to be.
RSA, is an organization that focuses on the improvement of campus living. Do
you feel the need for a special event in your community? Does your hall need a
pool table or a new TV? Is there a facility improvement that needs to be made?
Well, RSA can do the job but, we need one thing: YOU!
You are the person that makes our
organization exist. If you live on campus then you are what we strive for.
When we plan events we do it for you. RSA is an organization that cares what
our neighbors think.
Responsibilities of the Executive Board
The Executive powers of RSA shall be vested
in the RSA President who shall have the assistance of the RSA Executive Board.
Any proposal made to RSA, must be submitted in writing to the Executive Board
and must be defeated by a 2/3 vote of the Executive Board to prevent further
discussion in the General Body.
General Body
The General Body is
comprised of the Executive Board members and representative from residence halls
on campus.
General Body members are usually members selected
from and by each Hall Council. Just because you are not the selected
representative(s) does not mean you can not attend General Body meetings. RSA/General
Body is
open to all residents that live on campus.
Constitution
In the constitution each Executive Board
member’s responsibilities are listed as well as the General Body.
